Anthony (Tony) Testa

Anthony J. (Tony) Testa, Sr., 91, of Hamilton Twp., passed away peacefully on Friday, October 27 at Compassionate Care Hospice in Hamilton. Born and raised in Lambertville, NJ, he resided in Trenton and Hamilton for the last 69 years.

He was employed by General Motors Fisher Body Division for 45 years until his retirement in 1987, and was a member of UAW Local 731 Retirees. Tony was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Angels Parish – St. Joachim in Trenton, and served his parish in various capacities including the Holy Name Society, as an usher and in the Seniors group. He served his country in the US Army, stationed in Korea. Tony later was a member of VFW Post 7921, the YMAC of Lambertville, Hamilton Elks, Evergreen Active Adult Seniors and Hamilton Seniors.

A loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend, Tony was predeceased by his beloved wife of 66 years, Helen, his parents Carmine and Rose Testa, and his sisters Mary Osif and Anne Boleyn. He is survived by his son Rev. Anthony and his wife Diane of Lincroft, his daughter Donna Marosovitz and her husband Karl of Robbinsville, and son Michael and his wife Lucia of Hainesport. His six loving grandchildren are Lisa Testa, Joseph Small and his wife Joanne, Dr. Anthony Testa and his wife Angela, Alessandra, Nicholas and Julia Testa, and two great-granddaughters Madelina and Gabriella Testa.

Calling hours will be Monday, October 30 from 5 to 8 pm at D'Errico Whitehorse Mercerville Chapel, LLC, 2365 Whitehorse Mercerville Road, Hamilton, NJ 08619, located in the Brenna-Cellini facility.

The funeral will be held 8:30 am Tuesday, October 31 from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian burial celebrated at 9:30 am at Our Lady of The Angels-St. Joachim's Church, 20-56 Butler Street, Trenton, NJ 08611. Entombment will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery - Madonna Mausoleum, 400 Woolsey St. in Hamilton.
