Edward Stanley Bogacz, 86 of Trenton entered into God's loving care on Sunday, February 7, 2016, at the Compassionate Care Hospice Unit at RWJ Hamilton with his loving family by his side. Born in Trenton, NJ, he was a lifelong area resident. Ed graduated from Trenton Central High School in 1948. He was a United States Navy veteran who proudly served his country aboard the U.S.S. Catamount during the Korean War. He worked at U.S. Steel, retiring in 1991 after 36 years of service. Edward was a member of the American Legion North Trenton Post 458 and the former Polish Falcons Nest 59, of North Trenton. He was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Parish Community. Son of the late Jan and Apolonia (Wyzga) Bogacz, and predeceased by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Stanley J. & Mary Ann Bogacz; Anthony J. & Mary M. Bogacz; Matthew A. Bogacz, and sister and brother-in-law, Mary P. "Mania" & Stanley Strycharz. He was also predeceased by his brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-law, Donald and Virginia Belviso, Lena and Andrew Galletti, Angelo Belviso, Jerry Belviso, and Anthony and Jean Belviso. Edward is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Mary Josephine (Belviso) Bogacz, his son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Carolyn Bogacz of Park Ridge, NJ; his daughters and sons-in-law, Janice and Frank Castaldo of Hamilton, NJ; Doreen and Mark Risoldi of Robbinsville, NJ; and Judy and Tom Petroni of Robbinsville, NJ. He will be truly missed by his 10 cherished grandchildren who he loved dearly, Zachary & Gillian Castaldo, Kelsey & Justin Sheridan & Sophie Bogacz, Alyssa & Emily Risoldi, and Jessica, Kathryn & Steven Petroni. He is also survived by his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Connie and Frank Cuiule and sister-in-law, Rose Belviso and many loving nieces and nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and friends. Ed enjoyed watching sports, trips to Atlantic City whenever he got the chance and playing the lottery, but most of all, he loved watching his grandchildren play in sporting events and spending time with his entire family. The funeral will be held 10 am Saturday February 13 at D'Errico Whitehorse Mercerville Chapel (located inside the Brenna-Cellini facility), 2365 Whitehorse Mercerville Road, Hamilton, NJ 08619. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of The Angels Parish-St Joachim's, 20-56 Butler St., Trenton, NJ. Burial will be held at St Mary's Cemetery Mausoleum in Trenton. Relatives and friends may call Saturday from 8 am to 10 am at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of Angels Parish, 21-23 Bayard Street St., Trenton, NJ 08611 or the charity of your choice.
