Obituary of Walter Bowker

Walter George Bowker, 85, of Hamilton, entered into God's Care Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton. Born in New Brunswick, he resided in Hamilton most of his life. Mr. Bowker served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was formerly employed with AAA Trucking Corporation in Hamilton for over thirty-seven years prior to his retirement. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Walter enjoyed his trips to Atlantic City with his wife, Carmela; the many holiday dinners with his family; and the Sunday visits of his grand-dog, Autumn. Predeceased by his wife, Olga (Ciafrei) Bowker and his son David, he is survived by his wife of forty years, Carmela (Rossi) Bowker; one daughter, Pat Bowker and her life-partner, Bill Bielak; his daughter-in-law, Linda Bowker; one granddaughter, Kelly Ann Bowker; also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Rite of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 am Tuesday, May 3 at D'Errico Whitehorse Mercerville Chapel, LLC, 2365 Whitehorse Mercerville Road, Hamilton, NJ 08619 located in the Brenna Cellini facility. Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cedar Lane in Hamilton, NJ 08610. Calling hours will be Tuesday, May 3 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at the funeral home.
