Obituary of Irene Weisgarber

Irene Weisgarber, 92, Hamilton, passed into the arms of her Lord on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at Hamilton Continuing Care Center. Born in Hamilton Twp., Irene was an area resident for most of her life. After their retirement, Irene and her husband also resided in Florida for a period of time. During World War II, Irene was employed as a "Rosie the Riveter." She was subsequently employed by Sears and Roebucks and Arnold Constable. Later in life and until her retirement, Irene was employed as a Lab Service Technician by the State of NJ, Dept. of Health. Irene was a member of St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church, St. Anthony Rosary Altar Society, and a St. Anthony Tonettes Leader. Irene was also a member of Colonial Volunteer Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary. Irene enjoyed beer and pizza, dancing the polka with her beloved husband, crafts, reading, sewing and watching the Phillies. She loved to entertain and host Thanksgiving and Christmas family dinners and pool parties. She was an avid gardener who loved her roses. She loved singing with her husband on their many road trips up north to visit their children, playing cards with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and baking cakes for her husband and friends. Irene just loved life. Predeceased by her parents, Felix and Rose (Rabel) Kuklinski, her loving husband, Mathias W. Weisgarber, her siblings, Stanley, Mary, Maujan and Matthew Kuklinski, Josephine Grondzki, Frances Kwaithowski, Blanche Greco, Helen Gaskill, Virginia Zindl, Alyce Maple and an infant brother. Irene is survived by four children, Carol Babuschak and husband Francis, William M. Weisgarber and wife Letty (DiGiuseppe), Susan Clarke and husband Robert, and Nancy Loretangeli and husband Dan, eight grandchildren Suzanne Pilozo and husband Anthony, Mark Babuschak and wife Joji, Gretchen VanHoorelbeke and husband Jack, William Weisgarber and wife Victoria, Nicole Broadwater and husband Ryan, Richard Avallone, Michael Clarke and wife Marie, and Lauren Rosenberger and husband Brian, fourteen great-grandchildren, Anthony DeFabritus, III and wife Jordan, Jared and Justine Babuschak, Alexander and Jackson VanHoorelbeke, William, Claire and Violet Weisgarber, Benjamin and Madeline Broadwater, Nina Avallone, Gabriel and Jacob Pilozo and Reinald Vista and wife Genevieve, five great-great grandchildren, Anthony DeFabritus, IV, Alexander Babuschak and Aubrey Jimenez, Kai and Elani Vista and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, December 13 from 9:30 am to 10:45 am at St. Anthony Church, 626 S. Olden Avenue, Trenton, NJ. There will be no calling hours at the funeral home. A mass of Christian burial will follow at 11:00 am at the church. Entombment will follow at St. Mary's Mausoleum, Hamilton, NJ.
