Obituary of Petrina Pacera

Petrina M "Pat" Pacera, 90, of Trenton passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at St. Francis Medical Center of Trenton. Born in Trenton, she was a life-long area resident. Born to the late Paolina and Vincenzo Varsalona of Sicily, she graduated from St Joachim's Catholic School and attended Rider College night school. Pat as she was affectionately known worked several jobs including Yards Department Store, Circle F electric factory and twenty-one years for the state of New Jersey Department of Treasury. She was an active member of the PTA during her son's school years and later became a member of the Saint Clare Society and St. Joachim's Senior Citizens Club, where she attended meetings and dinners. She was a devout Catholic and attended services faithfully. Pat enjoyed cooking, reading, sewing and occasional trips to Atlantic City. . Predeceased by her parents Vincenzo and Paolina (DeMarco) Varsalona, her loving husband Frank Pacera Sr. a son Frank Pacera Jr., she is survived by three sons; Joseph Pacera, James Pacera and Paul Pacera; a sister-in-law Eleanor Pacera and many nieces, nephews and cousins Rite of reception will be held 9:30 am Tuesday December 27 at Our Lady Of The Angels-St. Joachim's Church, 20-56 Butler Street, Trenton. Mass of Christian will be held 11 am at the church Calling hours will be held from 9:45 am to 10:45 am at the church. There will be no calling hours at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum, Hamilton.
