~~Albert M. Conti, 88, entered into God’s eternal rest on Tuesday, October 31, 2017.
Born in Trenton, he resident in Villa Park area most of his life prior to moving to Hamilton.
Albert was a graduate of Trenton Central High School. He earned a degree in accounting from Rider College, and attended Rutgers to be licensed by the State of New Jersey as a registered municipal accountant.
Albert proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.
He managed Trenton Water Works, was comptroller for the City of Trenton and retired as Comptroller of Mercer County. Albert loved to read and was an avid NY Yankee fan. He never turned down a great Tomato Pie, loved working in his vegetable garden and enjoyed many cruises with his companion Elaine. He will be missed by friends and family dearly. While his presence was larger than life, Albert never went for the limelight. He was a trusted friend and loving family member.
Son of the late Biagio and Costanza (Bernabei) Conti, brother of the late Rose Carucci and uncle of the late Elaine Carucci, he is survived by his loving and caring companion, Elaine
DiMatteo and her daughter Robin Donaghy and husband Frank; one niece, Dianne Sandvik and husband Bruce; two great nieces, Jennifer Kaplan Burns and Michelle Kaplan McMilan and five great great nieces and nephews, Jason, Brian, Maggie, Piper and Sawyer and one God daughter Kate Brodowski.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 6, 2017 at 1:00 pm at D'Errico Whitehorse Mercerville Chapel, LLC, 2365 Whitehorse Mercerville Road, Hamilton, NJ 08619.
Burial of Cremains will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cedar lane in Hamilton.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Albert’s name to your favorite charity.
