Obituary of Anne Elaine Marchetti

Anne Elaine Marchetti, 76, of Hamilton, N.J., died Monday, Oct. 23, 2023, at Merwick Care and Rehabilitation Center. Born March 29, 1947, Anne Elaine lived most of her life in Trenton, N.J., before moving to Hamilton in 1994. She attended Trenton public schools and graduated from Trenton Central High School in 1964. Following high school, she went to work as a secretary at the New Jersey Department of Transportation, retiring in 2002 after 38 years of service. Family was incredibly important to Anne Elaine. She showered her niece, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews with an abundance of love and care, treating them as if they were her own children. She brought that same compassion and warmth to her lifelong friendships, touching the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to know her. Anne Elaine was predeceased by her loving parents, Anthony and Rose (Perna) Marchetti; her companion, John Braconi; and her sister-in-law, Sarah Jane Marchetti. She leaves to cherish her memory her brother, Phillip Marchetti; niece, Lona Stranieri, and her husband, Kenneth; nephew Timothy Marchetti and his girlfriend, Ellen Leonard; nephew Tony Marchetti and his wife, Stefanie; nephew Michael Marchetti and his wife, Antonella; nephew Patrick Marchetti and his wife, Debbie; her grandnieces and grandnephews, Caroline and Nathan Stranieri, Joshua and Sarah Marchetti, Alexander and Matthew Marchetti, and Phillip, Samantha, and Miles Marchetti; her special cousin and friend, Anna (Costantini) Starr; and many friends and relatives. Calling hours will be held at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 626 South Olden Avenue, Trenton, NJ 08629, on Friday, Oct. 27, 2023 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 1200 Cedar Lane, Trenton, N.J. 08610. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
