Obituary of Eugenio Rodriguez

On April 27, 2016, Eugenio Rodriguez, age 65, passed away and returned to Our Heavenly Father. Eugenio was a loving father. He is survived by his loving mother Guillermina (Figueroa) Rodriguez; five children: Eugenio Jr., Victor, Cristina, Rafael, and Amaris. He also leaves behind five beautiful grandchildren; Nina, Sebastian, Isabella, Sophia and Alexander; his surviving brothers and sisters, Juan, Jose, Guillermo, Jose Antonio, Josephine, Iris, Dalia, Nereida, Runia, and Rosario. Eugenio was an involved member of the community who served the Trenton Board of Education and was an active parishioner at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Eugenio retired from the Public Advocates office after 27 years of service. Mr. Rodriguez is also retired from the United States Air Force after serving faithfully and honorably for 25 years. Eugenio's legacy is not limited to his career or community service. Eugenio had a huge heart and would go above and beyond to help friends, family, and anyone in general. He was a devoted father and husband. He promoted family as being the most important thing of all things. Eugenio was a deep thinker, a man of faith, resilient and a determined man. He moved with inspiration and conviction in all his actions. Even in passing Eugenio will continue to be a King of the Rodriguez Family. He will be missed dearly by all who had the pleasure to meet him. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 12:00 pm on Friday, May 6 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 540 N. Olden Avenue, Trenton, NJ. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Hamilton. 400 Woolsey Street, Hamilton, NJ 08610.
