Obituary of John Gaydos

John Michael Gaydos, 91, of Hamilton, entered into God's Care Thursday, January 23, 2014 at his residence. Born in Trenton, he resided in Hamilton most of his life. John served in the South Pacific during World War II with the United States Marine Corp. He retired in 1986 from McGuire Air Force Base. He was a devoted member at the Assumption of The Virgin Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, he enjoyed bingo, trips to Atlantic City and doing word search puzzles. Predeceased by his parents, Michael and Mary (Johanas) Gaydos, his brothers and sisters, Edward, Michael, Mary Sivak, Elizabeth Liebl, Anna Dickson, Helen Botteri and Verna Jusiewicz, and his loving wife, Lena (Loretucci) Gaydos, he is survived by his devoted loving daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Richard Hughes; his cherished granddaughter, Sharon Ann Hughes; one sister, Pauline Tiscione; also survived by many nieces, nephews, others relatives and friends. Requiem Liturgy will be celebrated 11:30 am Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at the Assumption of The Virgin Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, Grand & Malone Streets in Trenton. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Assumption Cemetery in Hamilton. Calling hours will be from 9:00 am to 11:00 am Wednesday at Chambers D'Errico and Correnti Funeral Home, 825 Chambers Street in Trenton.
