Obituary of Christine Filipponi

Christine Filipponi, age 92, of Hamilton entered into God's loving care on Friday, September 2, 2016 at home. Born in Trenton, she was a life-long Trenton/Hamilton resident Christine was employed by the State of NJ, Department of Civil Service as a Secretary for many years until her retirement. She was a member of the St. Joachim's Senior Citizens Club. Christine enjoyed taking trips to the casinos in Atlantic City and playing instant scratch off lottery tickets. She also loved dancing at parties and affairs. Predeceased by her parents Fredrick and Millie (Festa) Fiore, five sisters, Pauline Raywood, Jean Canale, Frances Vaccaro, Marie Burns and Rachel Sparano, one brother, Benjamin Fiore, she is survived by her loving husband Lucas Filipponi; one daughter Linda Alexander and husband Tom; one grandson, Christopher Alexander and wife Allyson; two great grandsons, Max and Mason; two sisters, Rose Zuccarello and Marie Tomczyk and many nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held 8:30 am on Wednesday, September 7 at D'Errico Whitehorse Mercerville Chapel, LLC, 2365 Whitehorse Mercerville Road, Hamilton, NJ. 08619 (609-587-9050) A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 9:30 am at Our Lady of The Angels-St. Joachim's Church, 20-56 Butler Street, Trenton. Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hamilton. Calling hours will be Tuesday, September 6 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
