Obituary of Colleen Szmauz

Colleen (Lawrence) Szmauz, 60, of Hamilton entered in God's loving care Sunday, November 13, 2016 at Capital Health System at Fuld surrounded by her loving family Born in Lakehurst NJ, she was a life-long Hamilton resident. She was employed by Mercer County for 25 years until her retirement in 2012, working in the clerk's office and in cooperative extension services. Colleen enjoyed vacationing in Wildwood, Island Beach and LBI. She loved animals but most of all she treasured the times spent with family. Predeceased by her father Arthur Lawrence, she is survived by her mother Patricia Lawrence; her loving husband, John C. Szmauz; four children Amy Johnson and husband Joseph, Michael Szmauz and wife Keleigh, Shonna Szmauz and Johnny Szmauz Jr.; two sisters, Nancy Perdikis and husband Demetrios, and Michele Lawrence; two brothers, Arthur Lawrence and Thomas Lawrence and wife Debra; one brother-in-law Jay Szmauz and wife Sandy; two sisters-in-law, Lori Adjami and husband Ron and Paula Cardo and husband Peter; four grandchildren, Ethan, Justin, Lily, Rilee, many nieces and nephews and friends including constant friend, George Sexton. The funeral will be held 10:00 am on Saturday, November 19 at D'Errico Whitehorse Mercerville Chapel, LLC, 2365 Whitehorse Mercerville Road, Hamilton, NJ. 08619 (609-587-9050) Clergy from the area will officiate. Entombment will follow in St. Mary's Mausoleum, Hamilton. Calling hours will be Friday, November 18 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
