Obituary of Helga Gervasi

Helga Johanna (Stoeberl) Gervasi, 70, of Myrtle Beach, SC entered into God's Care Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at her residence with her loving family by her side. Born in Augsburg, Germany, she emigrated to the United States on September 22, 1954 aboard the SS. Italia, and has resided in the Trenton area most of her life, prior to moving to Myrtle Beach, SC. Helga was a graduate of Trenton Central High School class of 1961. She retired from the State of NJ, Department of Education with 27 years in the bookkeeping department. Helga loved to travel, enjoyed the beach, playing bingo and loved being around people, but most of all she enjoyed her loving family. She was a devoted daughter, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and a friend to everyone with an overall zest for life. Predeceased by her parents, Hans and Liebhilda (Schlotterer) Stoeberl and her stepbrother, George Rohrhirsch, she is survived by her devoted loving husband of 50 years, Anthony Gervasi; her children, Anthony & Kelly; her cherished grandchildren, Michael, Kara, Joey, Cedie, Angelo and Dominic; also survived by her stepsister, Linda Morales; mother-in-law, Filomena (Fanny) Gervasi; sister-in-law, Marie Hughes and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 pm Sunday, January 12 2014 at D'Errico Whitehorse Mercerville Chapel, 2365 Whitehorse Mercerville Road, Hamilton, NJ, located in the Brenna Cellini Facility.
