Obituary of Christine Gaskill

Christine C. (Venella) Gaskill, 67, of Hamilton entered into God's Loving Care on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at home in Hamilton. Born in Trenton she was a life-long Ewing/Hamilton resident. She was employed by the State of NJ Department of Labor as an Executive Secretary until her retirement in 2006. Chris was a member of Abiding Presence Lutheran Church and served on their Social Ministry Committee. She was also a co-leader of the Women of God Group. Chris enjoyed camping and trips to Atlantic City, but most of all she loved spending time with her beautiful family. Predeceased by her parents, Edmund A. Jr. and F. Joan (Eldridge) Venella and her son-in-law Daniel A. Roberts. She is survived by her loving daughter Dawn (Appelget) Roberts her brother and sister-in-law Edmund and Ann Venella; and her best friend, Beth Peroni. She is also survived by her aunts and uncles, MaryLou & David Venella; Nick Pontelandolfo, and June Eldridge. Her nieces and nephews, Kathryn Megonnell, Kimberly Berrell, Matthew & Olivia Venella and Kara Venella & Evan Dilluvio; her great nieces and nephews, Kylee, Korey, Ethan, Kamy, Freya & Skyler; many beloved cousins; her "adopted" children and grandchildren, Stacey, Dan, Thomas, Laura, Kyra, Zander, Maddie, Luke & Joey; and many dear friends and loved ones. The funeral will be held 9 am Wednesday September 20 at D'Errico Whitehorse Mercerville Chapel, LLC, 2365 Whitehorse Mercerville Road, Hamilton, NJ. 08619 (located inside the Brenna-Cellini facility) A Liturgy of Resurrection will be held 10:00 am on Wednesday, September 20 at Abiding Presence Lutheran Church, 2220 Pennington Road, Ewing. Burial will follow in Ewing Cemetery, Ewing. Calling hours will be Tuesday, September 19 from 5 pm to 8 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Chris's name to Abiding Presence Lutheran Church, 2220 Pennington Road, Ewing, NJ 08638
