Obituary of JoAnn Regina Palmucci

JoAnn R. Palmucci (nee Leadem), 74, of Readington Township, entered into God’ s care, Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, NJ.

Born in Trenton, she was a resident of Trenton/Hamilton for much of her life, and for the past eighteen years she resided with her daughter Deborah and her family, in Readington Township, NJ.

JoAnn was an excellent homemaker who enjoyed catering to the needs of her children, grandchildren and their friends. She was affectionately known to everyone as “Granny”, which gave her great pleasure. JoAnn loved cooking for her family, spending time with her dogs and could spend hours in the garden or at the beach watching the ocean. 

Predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Jacqueline (Novelli) Leadem, and her sister, Jacqueline Brugno, she is survived by her daughters, Deborah Gottlieb (Palmucci) and husband, Ira and Andrea McGillicuddy (Palmucci) and husband Russell; four cherished grandchildren, whom she lived for, Russell Gottlieb, Amanda Ference, Rachael Gottlieb and Alyssa Gottlieb; her brother, John V. Leadem and family; and her aunt, Jean Knowles and family; JoAnn is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Rite of Reception will be held 8:30 am Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Our Lady of the Angels Parish, St Joachim’s Church, 20-56 Butler Street, Trenton, NJ 08611 (parking entrance around the block on Bayard Street).

Calling hours will follow at the church until 10:20 am, there will be no calling hours at the funeral home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am at St. Joachim’s Church.

Burial of Cremains will be private at a later date.
