Obituary of John E. Gilleo

John E. Gilleo, 67, of Hamilton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Compassionate Care Hospice at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital of Hamilton.

Born in Trenton, he was a life-long area resident.

John was employed by Mercer Spring Corporation as a Mechanic for heavy equipment for forty years.

He was an avid dart player in the Trenton area and beyond. He was a member of the Hamilton Elks Lodge No. 2262. John enjoyed golfing and fishing, but most of all he cherished the times spent with his loving family.

Predeceased by his parents, Chester and Lillian (Murphy) Gilleo, he is survived by his loving wife of thirty years, Marie D. Gilleo; his daughter Dawn Deering, his siblings, Lillian Sebasto and brother-in-law Joseph, Chester Gilleo and sister-in-law Susan, Barbara Huff and brother-in law William, Celeste Bercy and brother-in-law Robert, Bobby Alloway and sister-in-law Barbara; a very special nephew and best friend, Ronald Sebasto and wife Natalie, a special niece and nephew, Angela Mendell and Joseph Sebasto, and many other nieces and nephews; a God daughter, Tracy Huff and a good friend George Sexton.

The funeral will be held 10:00 am on Monday, May 21, 2018 at D'Errico Whitehorse Mercerville Chapel, 2365 Whitehorse Mercerville Road, Hamilton, NJ 08619, located in the Brenna-Cellini facility.

Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton.

Calling hours will be held Sunday, May 20, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
