Obituary of Lucy Theresa Longo

Lucy Theresa (Pesarini) Longo, 84 of Hamilton, entered into God’s care Friday, December 28, 2018 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton, with her loving family by her side.

Born in Trenton, she was a lifelong area resident and was formerly employed with Hamilton Township, Board of Education, prior to her retirement.

Mrs. Longo was an excellent homemaker, she enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, needlepoint and crocheting.

Predeceased by her parents, John and Pearl (Paolangeli) Pesarini,  her loving husband of 65 years, Arthur N. Longo, who passed away in September of this year,  her brothers-in-law and sister-in-law,  Albert Carmignani, Connie and Albert De Pula, and Joseph Ficci, she is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Arthur and Linda Longo and Gary and MaryAnne Longo; five adored grandchildren, Christa D'Amico and husband John, Michael Longo and fiancée Ashley Hamon, Vanessa Aaronson and husband Tim, Matthew Longo and wife Genna, and Jacqueline Del Giudice and husband Joseph; seven cherished great-grandchildren, Ryan, Evan, Drew, Carmine, Luigi, Amelia and Joseph; one sister, Carol Carmignani; one brother, Caesar Pesarini and Kathie; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Elsie Pesarini, Nick and Marlene Longo, Antoinette Ficci and Janet and Dave Reininger; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The funeral will be held 9:15 am Thursday, January 3, 2019 from the D’Errico Whitehorse Mercerville Chapel, 2365 Whitehorse Mercerville Road, Hamilton, NJ 08619, located in the Hamilton Brenna Cellini facility.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:30 am Thursday, January 3, at Our Lady of The Angels Parish-St. Joachim's Church, 20-56 Butler Street, Trenton, NJ 08611.

Burial will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, 400 Woolsey Street, Hamilton, NJ 08610.

Calling hours will be Thursday from 8:00 am to 9:15 am at the funeral home.
