Obituary of Josephine Radice

Josephine Fruscione Radice 92 of Hamilton , Beloved Mother, Grandmother and Aunt, who was formally from The Chambersburg Area of Trenton, passed away on April 28,2014 at The Mercerville Center. She was predeceased by her loving husband , Joseph "Joey Ray" Radice, her mother Stella Vitellaro Fruscione , Father Santo Fruscione and Brothers Samuel, Benjamin, Charles, and Joseph Fruscione, as well as many special brothers and sister-in-laws. Josephine spent most of her life living in Chambersburg, was an active member of the Chambersburg Little League Women's Auxiliary and Lifelong member of Our Lady of the Angels Parish (St. Joachim). In the 1920's and 1930's, her mother and father owned and operated the Italo-American Import-Export Olive oil and Grocery Store on Elmer and Hudson Street in Chambersburg. She and her brothers learned the meat and grocery business which lead to her brothers to opening their own grocery stores. Josephine worked at the Lerners Dress Shop in the Downtown Trenton Area during the 1960's and Circle F in the 1970's. Josephine had a love for cooking for her family and friends, especially for celebrations and holidays. She found great joy spending time with loved ones at her family homes in Seaside and Mystic Island, where they would gather for the best of times, which she always held close to her heart. Josephine also enjoyed crocheting and crafting , especially ceramics. She took pride in her traditions, and cherished the years she cared for her grandchildren, niece and nephew passing on what she held dear. She is survived by her loving family which includes her devoted son Vincent with whom she lived, son Gary and his wife Anna Marie Pratico-Radice. Her grandchildren Joseph, Brittani and Corey Radice. Family patriarch and brother - in - law, Richard and wife Corine Radice and their children Richard Radice and Kathleen Radice-Ludwig. Very special nieces who took care of Josephine during her illness, Mary-Jane Sadvoy and daughter Danielle Graziani - Ludwig and family , as well nephew, Anthony Graziani and family. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and a great nephew . Rite of Reception will be held 9:00 am Friday at Our Lady of Angels Parish-St. Joachim's Church, 20-56 Butler Street , Trenton, NJ 08611 Calling hours will follow from 9:15 to 10:45 am at the church. There will be no calling hours at the funeral home. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Hamilton Please omit flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to: Our Lady of the Angels Parish, 21-23 Bayard Street, Trenton, NJ 08611.
