Obituary of Jean Marie Pucciatti

Jean Marie Pucciatti, 90, of Hamilton, entered into God’s care Thursday, April 4, 2019 at Brookdale in Hamilton with her loving family by her side.

 

Born in Trenton, she was a lifelong area resident.

 

Mrs. Pucciatti was formerly employed as a cafeteria worker at Washington School in Chambersburg section of Trenton for thirty years prior to her retirement.

 

Jean was a devout catholic and a lifelong active parishioner of Our Lady of the Angels Parish St. Joachim’s Church belonging to the Poor Claire's Society. Although she was not a member of the Sanctuary Guild, Jean enjoyed helping with the maintenance of the church linens.

 

She was an excellent homemaker, she enjoyed cooking, arts and crafts, especially needlepointing and summer vacations with her family in Brigantine.

 

Jean was a devoted loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.

 

Predeceased by her parents, Leonard and Maria (Paladino) Pilenza, her siblings, Helen Sciarrabone, Christine Collender, Gabriel “Mike” Pilenza, Leonard Pilenza, Elizabeth LaManna,  Emma Nami and Gloria Schindewolf, she is survived by her loving husband of nearly 71 years, Vincent B. Pucciatti; her devoted children, Leonard Pucciatti and wife Melinda, Joseph Pucciatti and wife Sandra and Lisa Bronski and husband John; her adored grandchildren, John Bronski and wife Brittany and Rachel Pucciatti; her cherished great grandson, Johnny; also survived by brother Eugene “Sonny” Pilenza many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

 

Jean’s family would like to give special thanks to her caregivers: Olive, Gail and Carleen.

 

Rite of Reception will be celebrated 9:00 am Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at Our Lady of the Angels Parish-St. Joachim’s Church, 20-56 Butler Street, Trenton, NJ 08611, followed by calling hours until 10:15 am. There will be no calling hours at the funeral home.

 

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am at St. Joachim Church.

 

Entombment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum, 1200 Cedar Lane, Hamilton, NJ 08610.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Our Lady of the Angels Parish, 21-23 Bayard Street, Trenton, NJ 08611.
