Obituary of Pietro Sola
Pietro Sola, 83, of Hamilton, entered into God’s care Monday, April 15, 2019 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton, with his loving family by his side.
Born in Casteltermini, Sicily, Mr. Sola, along with his family, immigrated to the United States February 1, 1964 settling in North Trenton, where he resided prior to moving to Hamilton.
Mr. Sola was formerly employed with Star Porcelain Company retiring after thirty-five years of service. He was also employed with New Colonial Bakery in Chambersburg.
Pietro was a hardworking individual who devoted his life to his family. He enjoyed gardening, playing Italian cards games with his family and loved caring for his Maltese, Lola. He was a loving devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, who will be sadly missed.
Predeceased by his parents, Vincenzo and Tecla (Padalino) Sola and his sister, Nunzia Severino, he is survived by his loving wife of nearly 64 years, Elisabetta (Pensato) Sola; his devoted children, Vincenzo Sola, Lena Graziano and husband Dennis and Salvatore Sola;
Seven cherished grandchildren, Salvatore Costa and wife Danielle, Alicia Sola, Jenna Rivera and husband Victor, Pietro Sola, Isabella Sola and Ariana Sola; seven cherished great-grandchildren, Salvatore, Eva, Evan, Savina, Keith, Jarret and Gianna; his brother and sister-in-law, Vincenzo and Rosalie Sola and sister and brother-in-law, Rosa and Bartolo Padalino; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The funeral will be held 8:30 am Wednesday, April 24, 2019 from D'Errico Whitehorse Mercerville Chapel, LLC, 2365 Whitehorse Mercerville Road, Hamilton, NJ 08619, located in the Brenna Cellini facility.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 9:30 am on Wednesday, April 24 at St. Raphael's Roman Catholic Church, 3500 South Broad Street, Hamilton, NJ 08610.
Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, 1200 Cedar Lane, Hamilton, NJ 08610.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, April 23, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
