Obituary of Madeline M. Peroni

Madeline (Madge) Bonelli Peroni, OFS, age 75, entered into God’s care on May 9, 2019.

Madge was born in Trenton, NJ, she was a lifetime resident of the Chambersburg section of Trenton, NJ.

She is predeceased by her parents, Nicola and Elizabeth (D’Amato) Bonelli, her husband Vincent J. Peroni, and her brother Frank J. Bonelli.

She is survived by her devoted children and grandchildren: daughter Beth Kanellis (Nick) and their children Stefanie Steward (Matthew), Melina and Yanna Kanellis; daughter Lynda Peroni and her son Adrian Peroni; daughter Karen PeroniAmore (Richard) and her children Devin, Morgan, and Justin McKenna; and son William Peroni (Carol), and their children Case Johnson, Isabella and Vanessa Peroni, all of Hamilton and Bordentown, NJ. She is also survived by her loving sister-in-law Rosalie Peroni Ciccia of Hamilton, NJ, several nephews, nieces, grandnephews, and grandnieces. The blessing of her first great-grandchild is expected in the month to come.

Madge was a graduate of Cathedral High School, class of 1961. She was a longstanding member of Our Lady of the Angels Parish-Saint Joachim’s Church where she was an extraordinary minister and a lecturer. She was also a member of the Secular Franciscan Order for 37 years. She was the minister for her fraternity as well as regional secretary for 6 years.

She was also a longtime employee of Coleman’s Hamilton Supply and retired from Joseph Steinert & Co.

Rite of Reception will be held 9:00 am Thursday, May 16, 2019 at Our Lady of the Angels Parish-St. Joachim’s Church, 20-56 Butler Street, Trenton, NJ 08611, followed by calling hours until 10:15 am at the church. There will be no calling hours at the funeral home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 am Thursday at Our Lady of the Angels-St. Joachim’s Church.

Entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum, 1200 Cedar Lane, Hamilton, NJ 08610
