Obituary of Cuneyt Bakar
Cuneyt Bakar, 56, of Hamilton, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 18, 2019 at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, PA, with several of his loving family members by his side.
Born in Elazig, Turkey, he immigrated to the United States over 20 years ago and has resided in Hamilton for the past 12 years.
Cuneyt had a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from Middle East Technical University of Ankara, Turkey and was most recently employed as a Culinary Manager, working in and for various restaurants in the area.
In addition to his mechanical, electronic, and technical skills, Cuneyt’s other true loves also included soccer, cooking, and entertaining his family and friends.
He is survived and missed by his loving wife, Linda Ann (D’Errico) Bakar; his devoted parents, Mehmet and Bahtiyar Bakar; his wonderful sister, Sonmez Bakar; two amazing brothers-in-law and sisters-in- law, Frank and Sally D’Errico and Joe and Linda D’Errico. He is also survived by several dear aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins here and in Turkey, as well as a sweet great-niece.
A Celebration of Cuneyt’s Life will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at D’Errico Whitehorse Mercerville Chapel, 2365 Whitehorse Mercerville Road, Hamilton, NJ 08619, located in the Brenna Cellini facility.
Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, 1200 Cedar Lane, Hamilton, NJ 08619.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, July 24 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at the funeral home.
