Evelyn “Evie” Hill, 89, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loving family, on January 13, 2020, at Casey’s Pond in Steamboat Springs, CO. Born and raised in Trenton, NJ, and a graduate of Trenton Central High School, she moved to Levittown, PA, in 1962 after marrying her beloved husband of 34 years, Alfred Hill. Before her retirement in 1993, she had a successful 30 year career overseeing the job assignments for the machinists at GE (later, Trane). Once retired she and Al spent many happy times sailing and fishing on their boat, The Verdandi, sitting by the water with friends in Avalon, NJ and dancing whenever they could. She was an avid reader, enjoyed listening to music (often singing along!), watching a good tennis match, seeing Broadway shows, and loved to take trips to almost anywhere, especially Atlantic City. She attended many operas presented by the LaBoehme Society. She was a member of the Roman Society and the Hamilton Township Seniors. She was a devoted wife, loving aunt, stepmother & grandmother, and a generous, caring friend to many. She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter & Fanny Modestini; her loving husband, Al; sister Alba & her husband Angelo Ciminesi; and her stepdaughter, Virginia Hill. She is survived by her longtime companion, Louis Carlucci; stepdaughter Carol & her husband Gary Budd; two grandchildren, Brian & Valerie Budd; and niece, Linda & her husband Rob Kellogg.
