Antonia “Nina” Toscano, 86, of Yardville, NJ, entered into God’s Care Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at Roosevelt Care Center in Edison, NJ with her loving family by her side. Born in Melito Porto Salvo, Reggio Calabria, Italy, she, along with her children, emigrated to the United States in 1967, to rejoin with her husband who previously emigrated to America seeking a better life for his family. Nina, as she was affectionately known to her family and friends was an excellent homemaker and loved catering to the needs of her family. She was an excellent cook, loved needlepointing, but her greatest love was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will always be remembered as a very caring, gentle person, with a warm beautiful smile. Predeceased by her parents, Salvatore and Francesca (Maressa) Licordari, several brothers and sisters, her daughter, Teresa Toscano and her devoted loving husband of sixty-two-years, Bruno Toscano, she is survived by her son, W. Bruno Toscano and wife Lisa; three daughters, Maria DiStefano and husband Salvatore, Fran Sutherland and husband Barry and Joanne Aiello and husband Peter; six adored grandchildren, Lauren Bencivengo and husband Paul, Dr. Danielle Acampora and husband Robert, Brian Sutherland and wife Raquel, Marissa Sutherland, Nina Toscano and Adriana Toscano; six cherished great-grandchildren, Jack Bencivengo, Ava Bencivengo, Nicholas Acampora, Emilia Acampora, Giuliana Acampora and Lucas Sutherland; three sisters, Maria Licordari, Modesta Licordari, Saverina Licordari and two brothers, Paolo Licordari and Domenico Licordari; also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services and entombment will be held privately in an effort to adhere to the most recent Covid-19 Guidelines. There will be no calling hours.
