Obituary of George J. Ditullo

George J. Ditullo, 95, of Hamilton entered into God’s Care on Friday, October 9, 2020, surrounded by his loving family. Born in West Pittston, PA he resided in Ewing for many years prior to moving to Hamilton. George is an Army Veteran where he served in World War II and received the Purple Heart for a shrapnel leg wound, he suffered near Brest, France. In George’s early professional career, he was the Head Golf Pro at Cranbury Golf Club, Assistant Pro at both Golden Pheasant Country Club and Stoneybrook Country Club. George was also the Golf Director and Manager at Phoenixville Country Club. He was the Assistant Pro at the Tony Midera Driving Range and Golf Pro for the 19th Hole Driving Range. George was a golf instructor for both Ewing and Lawrence High night schools, Golf Land, and Somerton Springs Driving Ranges. In 1964, he attended PGA Business School in West Palm Beach, FL. He went on to work at the Marrow Inn and ETS. He then retired from ETS. Besides being an avid golfer, he loved bowling, bocce ball, singing and tap dancing. At the age of 91, George won two years in a row first place in the Pat Carver Senior Bowling League at Hamilton Lanes with his son and daughter-in-law. He was an active member at the Hamilton Senior Center. George tapped dance with the Hamiltonians Senior Tap Class at the Hamilton Senior Center where they performed at area nursing homes. George was a devoted husband and loving father. He is predeceased by his loving wife Rose Ditullo of 67 years. Survived by his 2 daughters Geraldine Angelucci (Domenic), Carol Quinn (Robert), his best friend and devoted son, Lawrence Ditullo (Eileen). Calling hours will be Thursday, October 15, 2020 from 8:30 am to 10:30 am at the D’Errico Funeral Chapel, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville, NJ 08620. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am at St. Anthony’s Church, 626 S. Olden Avenue, Trenton, NJ 08629. Burial will follow at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 530 Province Line Road, North Hanover Township, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to any Veteran Charity of the donors choice.
