Emilio Testa, 87 of the Villa Park Section of Trenton, entered into God’s care Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at Capital Health System Fuld Campus in Trenton. Born in Corona, Queens, NY, he resided in Trenton most of his life. In his earlier years, Mr.Testa worked in the Garment District in New York, prior to moving to Trenton. He often spoke fondly of being a “native New Yorker”. Emile, as he was affectionately known to his family and friends, was formerly employed as a machine operator for US Steel, Trenton Works, and more recently with Congoleum Corporation prior to his retirement. Son of the late Stefano and Erminia (Scala) Testa and brother of the late Mario Testa, he is predeceased by his wife of 58 yrs., Lucy (Laureti) Testa. He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Annamaria & John Donohoe and Katherine and Gerard McNamee; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Anthony and Josephine Testa and Dino Testa; his beloved granddaughter, Maria K. Minelli, her fiancé, Bryan Pocino and many nieces and nephews. Due to the pandemic, calling hours will be private. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 am, Friday, January 22, 2021, at Our Lady of the Angels Parish-St. Joachim’s Church, 20-56 Butler Street in Trenton. Face masks must be worn, and social distancing will be followed. You will be able to view this mass at the parish Facebook page at: The Parish Community of Our Lady of the Angels. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery. Arrangements are the direction of D’Errico Funeral Chapel, LLC, 30 Yardville Allentown Road, Yardville, NJ 08620, located in the Buklad-Merlino Facility.
