Obituary of Gemma Lupinacci

Gemma Lupinacci, 87, of Hamilton, entered God’s care Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at Capital Health System, Fuld Campus in Trenton, NJ. Born in Cosenza, Italy, Mrs. Lupinacci immigrated to the United States in 1958 along with her husband and family, settling in the Chambersburg section of Trenton, prior to moving to Hamilton. She was formerly employed as a seamstress, working for various Clothing Companies in the area and more recently employed with St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton, prior to her retirement. Mrs. Lupinacci was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of the Angels Parish-St. Joachim’s church and a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. She was an avid Yankee fan, excellent homemaker, seamstress, cook and baker. She loved keeping the Holiday traditions, the special Sunday dinners, and enjoyed having the family sit around the table enjoying her homemade pasta and special dishes. Predeceased by her loving husband, Vincenzo Lupinacci, her parents, Pietro and Rosa (Zumpano) Masullo, her siblings, Franco Masullo, Rita Campolongo, Luisa Rizzuto and Erda Masullo, she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Peter and Nancy Lupinacci; her daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Ronald Scartocci, Sr.; one sister, Maria Gigliotti; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Louis and Patricia Lupinacci; her adored grandchildren, Ron, Jr., Tara, Stephanie, Danielle and husband Brandon and Vincent; two cherished great-granddaughters, Kylee and Lyla: also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins, here, in Italy and Canada. Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, Mass, Burial and Calling Hours will be private for the immediate family. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 am Tuesday, March 23 at Our Lady of the Angels Parish-St. Joachim’s Church, 20-56 Butler Street, Trenton, NJ 08611. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery in Hamilton. Calling hours will be Tuesday, March 23, from 8:00 am to 9:30 am at D’Errico Funeral Chapel, LLC, 30 Yardville Allentown Road, Yardville, NJ 08620, located in the Buklad-Merlino Facility. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Our Lady of the Angels Parish, 21-23 Bayard Street, Trenton, NJ 08611
