Obituary of Mary Mildred Anastasio

Mary M. Chianese) Anastasio, 93, passed peacefully to God’s care on March 24, 2021. Born and resided in Trenton, NJ on April 2, 1927, Mary resided in Lambertville, NJ. She was employed and retired from Shop Rite of Hamilton where she held a variety of positions for 35 years. Mary was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She adored her family and served them throughout her life with great joy. She was a dedicated friend and was always caring and giving to those less fortunate and in need. Mary most enjoyed cooking those special several course family dinners for the ones she loved; always bringing specialty foods to her family and friends. She loved her Immaculate Conception Church in Trenton and her adopted church of Saint John’s in Lambertville, serving as a Eucharistic minister at both. Predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Concetta (Damiano) Chianese, her brothers Tony and Joseph; she is survived by her brothers, Dominic and James, sisters, Katherine, and Annie; her son Anthony and wife Paula; two adored grandchildren, Anthony and wife Jackie; Cristina and husband Abdullah; two great-grandchildren who lightened and completed her life, Jack and George. There will be a mass of Christian burial for family and friends to celebrated Mary’s life and passing to God on Tuesday, 10:30 am on March 30, 2021 at Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church on Bridge Street in Lambertville. There will be NO calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or online donations at www.stjude.org
