Obituary of Mary Ann Chiavarone

Mary Ann (D’Angelo) Chiavarone, 98, of Hamilton, entered into God’s care Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton, NJ. Born and raised in Scranton, PA., she resided in the Chambersburg section of Trenton most of her life and for the past ten years, she resided with her daughter in Hamilton. Mrs. Chiavarone entered the workforce during World War II working at General Motors as an Aircraft Rivetter, she later worked as a chef assistant at Crecco’s Restaurant in Trenton. She was an excellent homemaker and loved cooking for her family and friends. “Socks and Mimom” as she was affectionately known by her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren, will always be remembered by her family and friends, as a loving caring person who dedicated her life to God, family and friends. Predeceased by her parents Leo and Theresa (LaManna) D'Angelo, her loving husband, Joseph Chiavarone, her son, Michael Chiavarone, her daughter, Theresa Cohoon, her son-in-law, Alfred Del Aversano, two daughtes-in-law, Jan Chiavarone and Joan Chiavarone, and her siblings, Pat, Joe, Nick, Louis, Betty and JuJu, she is survived by her children, Joseph Chiavarone and wife Maria, Leo Chiavarone and Carmella Del Aversano; one daughter-in-law, Jackie Chiavarone; her former daughter-in-law, Torie Miller; sister, Frances Lefchak; brother and two sisters-in-law, Leo and Rita D’Angelo and Barbara D’Angelo (Louis); also survived by her many cherished grandchildren and adored great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, other relative and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 am Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Our Lady of The Angels Parish-St. Joachim's Church, 20-56 Butler Street, Trenton, NJ 08611. Entombment of Cremains will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery Mausoleum, 1200 Cedar Lane, Hamilton, NJ 08610. Calling hours will be Tuesday, September 21 from 9:30 am to 10:15 am at St. Joachim’s Church. There will be no calling hours at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Our Lady of the Angels Parish, 21-23 Bayard Street, Trenton, NJ 08611.
