Obituary of A. Stanley Davis

A. Stanley Davis, Jr, 78, of Trenton entered into God's Care on Tuesday July 22, 2014 surrounded by his loving family at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital , Rahway. Born in Mount Holly, he resided in the Trenton area for most of his life. Stanley was employed by the State of New Jersey, Department of the Treasury Distribution Center for 20 years until his retirement. He was a member of the St Joachim's Holy Name Society. He was an avid sports fan, but most of all he loved watching his grandchildren play sports. Predeceased by his parents, A. Stanley and Pearl (Shinn) Davis, his loving wife of 51 years, Frances (Povia) Davis and a brother Ronald, he is survived by his son Frank and wife Mariann, a brother Thomas and wife Carol, three sisters, Lorraine Lawson and husband Ol, Sharon Zukas and husband Ed, Shirley Vazanski and husband Van, two grandsons, Giuseppe and Giovanni and many nieces nephews cousins and friends. The funeral will be held 10:00 am Tuesday July 29, 2014 at Chambers D'Errico and Correnti Funeral Home, 825 Chambers Street, Trenton. Clergy from the area will officiate. Burial will be private.
