Obituary of Richard D. Rhoads

Richard Donald Rhoads of Trenton passed away peacefully on June 25th. He was 83. Born and raised in Trenton, he is predeceased by 4 brothers, a sister and a granddaughter. Richard retired as a Supervisor for the Bureau of Parole, NJ Department of Corrections. He loved music and the Jersey Shore, and constantly amazed us with his Jeopardy prowess. Mostly his love was for his family. He loved spending time with his 5 grandchildren and was incredibly proud of them all. He is survived by a loyal family, including Peggy Rhoads and Patrick Rhoads of Hamilton, Maggie and Theodore Power of Hamilton, Mary Ellen and Brian Savage of Point Pleasant Beach and grandchildren Matthew, Daniel, Claire, Maxwell and Molly. Richard appreciated the caregivers who helped him for the last several years, including Vitas Hospice. A private celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
