Marian Ruth (Kauffman) Sivo, 92, of Edison, entered in God’s loving care, Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Embassy Manor at Edison Assisted Living. Born in Jobstown, NJ, she resided in Hamilton most of her life, prior to moving to Edison in 2019. She was a homemaker and formerly employed for many years at the Independence Mall, known as “The Pretzel Lady” at the Mall’s Pretzel Shop, followed by employment as a cafeteria worker with Lawrenceville Prep School in Lawrenceville, NJ. Marian enjoyed playing cards with her lady friends, spending time in her garden planting flowers, and enjoyed traveling with her late husband Andy. Predeceased by her loving husband of 57 years, Andrew “Andy” R. Sivo, Jr., her parents, Clarence and Laura (Butterworth) Kauffman, her siblings, Paul Kauffman, Gladys Metz, Jane Miller and Laura Rossi, her beloved daughter, Maryanne Prill and son, Andrew Sivo, III. She is survived by her devoted son and daughter-in-law, Rev. Richard and Debra Sivo: six grandchildren, two great grandsons, several nieces and nephews. The graveside committal service will be private and a Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 2:00 PM at New Durham Chapel in Piscataway, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to New Durham Chapel’s Legacy Fund, 225 New Durham Road, Piscataway, NJ 08854.
