Obituary of Josephine C. Giangiobbe

Josephine C Giangiobbe, 77, of Trenton entered into God's Care on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Trenton, she was a life-long area resident. Josephine was employed as Chief of Clothing Issuance at the Fort Dix Distribution Center, a job she truly loved, until her retirement. She received the Outstanding Service Award for service as Chapter Vice-President. 1983-1986. Josephine also received the Department of the Army Meritorious Performance of duty award in 1991. She loved to cook and she had a special place in her heart for cats and dogs. But most of all Josephine enjoyed taking trips to Wildwood and Gettysburg with her family. Predeceased by her Parents, Domenic and Lucia (Basile) Cipolloni, her loving husband Charles A., and a son-in-law, John L. Reed, she is survived by her daughter and best friend, Gina G. Reed, a sister, Mary C. Cortina and husband Pat, a grandson, Jesse Reed who was her heart, nine nieces, Claudia, Patricia, Christine, Linda, Laurie, Lisa, LuAnn, Michelle and Danielle, two nephews, John and Wayne Jr., a life-long friend, Barbara. The family would also like to thank Josephine's home health aides, Ethel and Joyce for their care and compassion and dear friend Gwen. A special heartfelt thanks to a very dear friend Chrissy, who was there for her and Gina throughout the years as well as this trying time. The Funeral will be held 8:30 am Saturday at Chamber's D'Errico and Correnti Funeral Home, 825 Chambers Street, Trenton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 9:30 am at Our Lady of the Angels Parish- St Joachim's Church, 20-56 Butler Street, Trenton Burial will be private. Calling hours will be held Friday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in her name may be made to an animal rescue organization of your choice.
