Obituary of Dr. John L Rorro

Dr. John Rorro, of Trenton, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2023, following a period of convalescence. He is predeceased by his parents, Michael and Filomena (Guglielmelli) Rorro, his brother, Dr. Louis Rorro, and brother-in-law, Dr. Alex Krawczun. He is survived by his sisters, Dr. Celeste Rorro, Dr. Mary Rorro and Fay Rorro, his sister-in-law Dr. Gilda Rorro-Baldassarri, his loving nieces and a nephew, along with their families. His close friends included Dr. Carl Vetri and his wife, Lynn. Born on November 15, 1934, in Trenton, Dr. Rorro was a lifelong resident of the city. He was an avid sports fan from a young age. He attended Junior IV Middle School and Trenton High School. Dr. Rorro graduated from Temple University and earned his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He also served our nation in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1959. Dr. Rorro was a passionate and devoted physician. He maintained a busy private practice in Trenton for more than 30 years, and was a staff physician at St. Francis Medical Center. Kind-hearted and caring, he served countless patients with great commitment. He is remembered as a thorough and thoughtful doctor, even making house calls to patients who needed him. Dr. Rorro pursued lifelong learning by attending continuing medical education even after retirement. Dr. Rorro’s steadfast and gentle devotion to his family marked his honorable life. Without fail, he was present for his family members and helped them at every opportunity. He was similarly generous and caring with his friends. He enjoyed living in New Jersey and, most of all, being with his family. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 9:00 am to 10:15 am at Our Lady of The Angels Parish-St. Joachim's Church, 20-56 Butler Street, Trenton, NJ 08611, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am. There will be no calling hours at the funeral home. Burial will be in Our Lady of Lourdes, 400 Woolsey Street, Hamilton, NJ 08610.
