Obituary of Roseann V Rutkin

Please share a memory of Roseann to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Roseann “Rosie” (Ricatto) Rutkin was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend during her incredible 90 years of life. She passed away peacefully on Friday, April 21, 2023 surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Rosie was born in Trenton, NJ on April 13, 1933 to Jean and Vincent Ricatto. She grew up on Kent Street in Chambersburg and lived in the area all of her life. In 1954, she married Isadore “Izzy” Rutkin and went on to have four children - Ronald Rutkin (deceased), Linda Alexander, Elaine Desman, and David Rutkin. Rosie did not have an easy life, facing many obstacles, but was the most care-free, giving person you could ever meet. Her favorite activities included bingo, playing cards with friends, and celebrating every day with family. Rosie cared deeply for those close to her and had a lasting impact on many lives. Rosie will be forever missed but always remembered for the love she had for her family, her contagious smile, and her love for root beer, fried chicken, and juicy fruit gum. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Isadore and her son Ronald who died in early childhood. She is survived by her daughter Linda and husband Dennis Alexander and their children Dennis and Jillian; son David and wife Sharon Rutkin and their daughter Jenna; daughter Elaine and husband Scott Desman and their children Alex, Sydney and Arienne. Rosie will also be missed by her great grandchildren Evan and Sienna. The family requests that in lieu of flowers or gifts, a donation be made to a charity of your choice. No calling hours will be held. A private burial ceremony for immediate family will be held at Beverly National Cemetery where she will be laid to eternal rest alongside her husband and son.
