Obituary of Norina Mattonelli

Norina Turrioni Mattonelli, 84 of Hamilton, entered into God's Loving Care Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in France, she was raised in Cannara, Italy and in 1954, immigrated to the United States and resided in Hamilton Township . Norina was an excellent homemaker who dedicated her life to her family; she was a devoted wife, loving mother and Nonna. Norina's passion was cooking her authentic hometown meals, sharing her recipes with loved ones, and telling stories of her unique childhood growing up in Italy. She also enjoyed watching all three grandsons play baseball. Predeceased by her brother Gilberto Turrioni, her loving husband, Orlando Mattonelli and her adored grandson, Joseph Illiano, she is survived by her devoted children, Armida Illiano with whom she resided and George Mattonelli and wife Loretta; her cherished grandsons, Daniel Mattonelli and fiancée Nicole Groszew and Michael Mattonelli; one brother and two sisters-in-law, Ruggero and AntoniettaTurrioni and Fausta Turrioni, all of Italy; two special cousins, Anna Maria Pascucci and Mary Angelucci and many nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held 8:30 am on Saturday, August 2, from D'Errico Whitehorse Mercerville Chapel, LLC, 2365 Whitehorse Mercerville Road, Hamilton, NJ. 08619 located in the Brenna Cellini Facility. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 am in Our Lady Of Sorrows Church, 3816 E. State Street Ext., Hamilton, NJ 08619. Entombment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery Mausoleum , 1200 Cedar Lane, Hamilton, NJ 08610. Calling hours will be Friday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
