Obituary of Mary J. Koch

Mary J. Koch, 90, of Hamilton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at Serenity Hospice Inpatient Unit at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital. Born in Trenton, she was a lifelong area resident and graduate of Trenton High School. Mom love to spend time with family and extended family. When we were young, we always visited her brothers and sisters. It was a very close-knit group. She loved to cook, and anything Italian was her favorite. And when it came to music, she was a big fan of Engelbert Humperdink. She loved the holidays and Christmas was her favorite. Decorating and visiting family made everything very special that time of year. A very loving person that always lending a helping hand. Predeceased by her parents, Salvatore and Josephine (D’Angelo) Iorio; her siblings, John Iorio, Chris Iorio, Dominic Iorio, Katherine Bartolini, Sue Cirillo and Antoinette Langfelder; her husband George W. Koch; her daughters, Lori Koch and Kathleen “Kathy” (Koch) Costa; and her grandson, Nicholas P. Costa. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, George and Laurie Koch; son-in-law, Vincent Costa; brother, Lou Iorio and his wife, Vera; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Iorio and Frances Iorio; grandchildren, Kristi Costa, and Danielle Donovan and husband Matthew, and Michael Koch; great grandchildren, Landon, Nikki Rose and Keegan Donovan; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. The Funeral will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at D’Errico Funeral Chapel, LLC, 30 Yardville Allentown Road, Hamilton, NJ 08620, located in the Buklad-Merlino Facility. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Raphael’s Roman Catholic Church, 3500 South Broad Street, Hamilton, NJ 08610. Calling hours will be held from 8:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, 1200 Cedar Lane, Hamilton, NJ 08610.
