I meant Joe in grade school but became buddys in 7th grade ( my second time his first) lol. After doing different things hooked back up in high school. ( him not me)! lol. We got cool again later on ,Drove around in his white Honda accord and had a blast just being stupid kids. I probably haven’t seen Joe in 30 years but I’ll always remember you buddy. Rest easy. It was my first year playing football at Florence High School and I was on scout team offense and I thought I was running pretty tough and then the next play BOOM... JOE hit me so hard I was blowing snot bubbles. I have never been hit that hard in all my years of playing football. I will always remember that he was a great leader on the field. Rest in Power.

Joe was a special person, a kind person. This physically big guy had an equally big and generous heart. After Dan and I relocated from the house in Columbus, I was able to find a new home for some of his Trenton Fire paraphernalia through Joe. Betty

Dear Joe,
My heart breaks for you on so many levels. When I heard what you were diagnosed with, I immediately got upset. One thing I can share with you is, my Dad will look out for you up there. There are no words that will ever help your Family here on earth, but I have learned that every once in awhile they will feel you around them. Please visit them and let them feel you. God Bless You Joe in Heaven!

Joey - You were the “little brother” I never had growing up. We spent many years together as kids. I remember the time I hit you in the head with the pool skimmer, we climbed up the tree out front of your house and hid until our parents came out searching for us, i was about 9 you tried to explain what the difference was between boys and girls and then proceeded to show me your boy parts, we stole the Oreos from your moms kitchen cabinet and eat almost the entire package in your room before we got in trouble, so many pools days at your house or my house, many Holidays spent together, the boat your Dad had parked out front of your house that we would climb into and you would pretend you were sailing me around the world!!! Remember the day we were sitting in Bungs and you said ‘who is that beautiful girl’ (it was Dana) ….. And I was so happy to play matchmaker for you! I’m sure I will cry often for you but all these memories I have just make me smile and laugh at you! You were truly a special one and I will miss you dearly! Until I can hug you again, Jenny Potpinka xoxo
