Obituary of Anna Amante

It is with true sadness that we announce the passing of Anna Marie Cesani Amante. Anna was a lifelong Chambersburg resident until she was forced to move from the city she loved because of political mismanagement. It absolutely killed her to have to leave her childhood home. After leaving the city she would regularly drive through the neighborhood, which she loved. Throughout her life, Anna Marie was employed by several banks in the area. She most recently worked for Rick Bus Co. where she transported children who were handicapped. She loved each and every one of them like they were her own. Predeceased by her father Carlo and her best friend and mother, Martha Cesani, she is survived by her husband of 25 yrs. Antonio; her one and only son whom she would kill for, John DeHart and his wife Dawn; two step-daughters, Patriza and Donatella; her three grandchildren who were her life, Jamie DeHart, Carlo DeHart and Hannah DeHart. Her only brother Nick Cesani and his wife Mary. Always one to take in a stray person or two, she should be remembered as someone who would feed anyone. Rite of Christian Burial will be celebrated 8:00 pm Friday, August 15, at D'Errico Whitehorse Mercerville Chapel, 2365 Whitehorse Mercerville Road, Hamilton, NJ 08619, located in the Brenna Cellini Brenna Cellini Facility. Calling hours will be Friday, August 15, from 5:00 pm to 8 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
