Obituary of Catherine Jannotti

Catherine C. Jannotti (nee Carabelli), age 76, of Hamilton entered in God's Care, September 9, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Trenton, she was a life-long area resident. She was employed by the State of New Jersey, Division of Motor Vehicles for many years until her retirement. Catherine was a member of the Italian American National Hall of Fame. She belonged to the Citivans Organization and was a life-long member of Our Lady of the Angels Parish-St Joachim's Church. She loved to cook for her family and spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Catherine enjoyed trips to Atlantic City and playing bingo, but most of all, she enjoyed using her IPAD, crafting and scrapbooking. Predeceased by her parents, Hugo and Rose (Battista) Carabelli, by her loving husband of 44 years, Ernest J. Jannotti and her daughter Denise M. Jannotti, she is survived by her children, Karen L.Smith & husband Edward and James J.Jannotti; her brother; Carl Carabelli Sr. and wife Florence; her sister, Beatrice Cullari and husband Peter; five grandchildren, Michael Catana, Jason Miller, Edward Smith Jr. & wife Wendi, Emerson L. Richards and Thomas Jannotti, four great grandchildren, Melissa, James, Hayden and Samuel Smith and many nephews, nieces and dear friends. A Rite of Reception will be celebrated 9:30 am on Monday, September 15 at Our Lady of The Angels Parish-St. Joachim's Church, 20-56 Butler Street, Trenton, followed by calling hours until 10:45 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am at the church. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Hamilton.
