Obituary of Joseph Pellini

Joseph A. Pellini of Trenton, who would have celebrated his 95th birthday on October 13, 2014, entered into God's Loving Care Friday, September 26, 2014, with his loving family by his side. Joe was born in Bristol, PA, and raised in Burlington, NJ. In 1945, he and his wife settled in the Chambersburg section of Trenton, where they raised their family. Joseph was a proud U.S. Army Sergeant from 1942 to 1945, serving in Alaska during World War II. Mr. Pellini was a valuable longtime employee of Panelyte Thiokol, where he worked for 45 years as a pipe fitter and boiler engineer. He also loved to help family and friends with their home projects. He was a lifelong member of Our Lady of the Angels Parish-St. Joachim's Church, and a member of the Societa Romana. Joseph was predeceased by his parents, Ambrogio and Rosa (Ciravolo) Pellini; his loving wife of 61 years, Concetta (Altobelli) Pellini; his infant son, Joseph Jr.; and his two brothers, James Pellini and David Pellini. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Leo and Theodora Pellini; daughter, Rose Ann Runner; loving grandchildren, John Pellini and wife, Carollynn, Dina Kenyon and husband, Richard, Leigh Ann Pellini, James Runner and Danielle Runner; beloved great-grandchildren, John Jr. and Trent Pellini, Nathalie and Hayley Kenyon and Dylan Zaborowski; sister, Anna Delaney; first cousins, Rose Walker and Norma Marrazzo, and many nieces, nephews and cousins both here and in Italy. Funeral will be held 8:15 am Wednesday from D'Errico Whitehorse Mercerville Chapel, LLC, 2365 Whitehorse Mercerville Road, Hamilton, NJ 08619, located in the Brenna Cellini Facility. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 am Wednesday, October 1, at Our Lady of the Angels Parish-St. Joachim's Church, 22-56 Butler Street, Trenton. Entombment will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Garden Peace Mausoleum. Calling hours will be Tuesday, September 30, from 5 to 8 pm at the funeral home. A Christian Wake service will be held during that time.
