Obituary of Louis Capone

Louis M. Capone, 87, of Columbus, entered into God's Care Friday, October 24, 2014 at his residence, with his loving family by his side. He was born in the Chambersburg section of Trenton where he resided most of his life. In 2008, Lou and his family moved to Las Vegas for several years, prior to moving to Columbus, NJ. Lou in his earlier years worked along with his father delivering ice from the Swan Street Ice House and later operated a deli around the corner on Whittaker Avenue. He enjoyed watching sports, trips to AC and Las Vegas, playing cards with his friends, especially pinochle. Mr. Capone was a longtime time parishioner of Our Lady of the Angels Parish-St. Joachim's Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus Trenton Council No. 355. Predeceased by his parents, Pasquale and Mary Donato DeLucia Capone, his siblings and their spouses, Michael and Helen Capone, Alex and Ann Capone, Frank and Frances Capone, Joseph Capone, Mary G. Capone, Theresa and Ralph Santitore, Margaret and Domenic D'Errico and Nicholas Capone, he is survived by his loving wife, Mary (Sykes) Capone; his daughter and son-in-law, Joanne and Angelo "Butch" Sargenti; his grandson, Louis Sargenti and wife Nicole; his adored granddaughter, Julianna; two sisters-in-law, Connie Capone and Anna Sykes; also surviving are many nieces, nephews, others relatives and friends. The funeral will be held 8:15 am Thursday, October 30, 2014 from D'Errico Whitehorse Mercerville Chapel, 2365 Whitehorse Mercerville Road, Hamilton, NJ 08619, located in the Hamilton Brenna Cellini facility. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 am Thursday at Our Lady of the Angels Parish-St. Joachim's Church, 22-56 Butler Street, Trenton, NJ 08611. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, 400 Woolsey Avenue, Hamilton, NJ 08610. Calling hours will be Wednesday, October 29, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Compassionate Care Hospice, 600 Highland Drive, Westampton, NJ 08060.
