Josephine (Josie) Santini, 91, peacefully entered into God's loving care, Saturday, December 27th at her Florida residence after spending a beautiful Christmas with her loving family. Frequently and affectionately referred to as Josie, Mrs. Santini was born in Trenton. She was a lifelong resident of Whittaker Avenue in Chambersburg; moving to Winter Garden, Florida in 2012. Josephine was employed by the Trenton Board of Education prior to her retirement. Throughout her lifetime she worked at various companies including the Trenton Cigar Factory and the Trenton Doll Factory. She was a member of Our Lady of Angels Parish-Saint Joachim Church. Josephine was a dedicated wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. Her love for her family was her true life's work and enriched the lives of all who surrounded her. She was an avid cook, gardener, seamstress, dancer, animal lover and caregiver. Her hobbies were those of her children and grandchildren whom she supported with all of her heart. She loved trips to the shore, Atlantic City, strolling through her garden and sitting in the sun with her grandchildren reminiscing about her youth. Her quick wit, sense of humor and deep insight of family values remained with her throughout her life teaching those around her what the true meaning of love and family are. Predeceased by her parents Armando and Luviggia (Rossi) Durastanti, her loving husband of 48 years, Joseph Santini, her sisters and brothers Mary DiFranco, Norma Tallone, Nicholas Durastanti and Armando Durastanti, Jr. She is survived by her two daughters and two son-in-laws Louise & Peter Pontani and Deborah & Tim Holderman; six grandchildren Tara and husband Kyle Schad, Andrea and husband Brian Newman, Dana and husband Walter Varhley, Joseph, Alec and Nicole Thompson and Ben and Luke Holderman; her great grandchildren Jackson and Kasey Schad and Jackson and Stella Varhley; her brother-in-laws, Anthony and Robert Santini; her sister-in-laws, Patricia Durastanti, Ida Maurio and Doris Santini and numerous nieces and nephews. In life you gave your family unquestionable love and care, in death you leave us with uncountable cherished memories and we await the day that we will be with you again.
