Dorothy F. Maida, 80, of Hamilton, entered into God's Loving Care Monday, December 29, 2014 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton. Born in Trenton, she was a lifelong Trenton/Hamilton area resident. Dorothy was formerly employed with the State of New Jersey, Department of Transportation as an administrative assistant in Human Resources Department. Dorothy was a member of the local USO and St. Raphael's/Holy Angel's Parish. She loved reading, puzzles and traveling with friends and family to Florida and Lancaster, Pa. Predeceased by her parents, Frank and Mary (Vasvari) Schwartz , her husband, Stephen N. Maida, her brother Frank Schwartz, a sister Marie Anctil and a brother-in-law, Joseph Anctil, she is survived by her son, Mark S. Maida and wife Christine; her daughter, Marianne Kunert; her brother, Nicholas Schwartz and wife Jean; five grandsons, Nicholas S. and Daniel S. Maida, Timothy Kunert, Robert Kunert and Gregory Kunert and wife Michelle; a great granddaughter, Cailyn Kunert ; one sister-in-law Dolores Schwartz; one brother-in-law, Joseph Maida and many nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held 10:00 am Monday, January 5 at D'Errico Whitehorse Mercerville Chapel, 2365 Whitehorse Mercerville Road, Hamilton, NJ, 08619. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 am at St. Raphael's Roman Catholic Church, 3500 South Broad Street, Hamilton. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hamilton. Calling hours will be Monday, January 5, from 8:00 am to 10:00 am at the funeral home.
