Obituary of Geraldine Peroni

Geraldine S. "Jogie" Peroni, 80, of Lawrenceville entered into God's Loving care on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Capital Health System Hopewell surrounded by her loving family. Born in Trenton, she was a lifelong area resident. She was a proud graduate of Trenton Central High School, class of 1952, and enjoyed organizing and participating in many class reunions. Geraldine was formerly employed withThe Belli Company for over twenty-five years. She was also employed with Faridy, Thorn and Fraytak Architectural Firm for several years prior to her retirement from Roma Federal Savings Bank as Bank Officer. She was a devoted lifetime member of Our Lady of the Angels Parish / St Joachim's Church, belonging to its Sanctuary Guild. Geraldine enjoyed trips to Atlantic City, lunch with her friends, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her loving cousins and their children. Predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Ninetta (Cattani) Peroni, her aunts and uncles, Mary Cattani, Flavio and Faye Cattani, Cyrus and Ann Cattani, Sr. and John and Ada Cattani, and her cousin, Joseph Cattani, she is survived by Richard and Geraldine Cattani, Cynthia and Robert Russo, Cyrus and Lynn Cattani, Sandra and Robert Durst, Dr. Robert and Patricia Cattani and Carol Cattani. Gerry is also survived by several other cousins and friends, along with five "special" cousins who affectionately referred to her as "Jogie", and whom she treated as her own daughters. They are "Melissa" McClellan and her husband George, and their daughters Sarah and Julia, "Sabrina" Gould and her husband David and their sons Aidan and Christian, "Jessica" Cattani, "Brittany" Russo, and "Meghan" Cattani. Additional cousins include Tricia Cattani, Tina Caparo, her husband Dan and their daughter Taylor, and Joseph Cattani, John Cattani, and Carl Cattani. The Funeral will be held 8:15 am Friday January 30 from D'Errico Whitehorse Mercerville Chapel, 2365 Whitehorse Mercerville Road, Hamilton, NJ, 08619, located in the Brenna Cellini facility. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 am at Our Lady of the Angels Parish/St Joachim's Church, 22-56 Butler Street, Trenton, NJ 08611. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hamilton. Calling hours will be held Thursday January 29 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
