Obituary of Michael Sanverdine

Michael J. Sanverdine, 80, of Hamilton entered into God's Loving Care Friday, May 15, 2015 at Compassionate Care Hospice of Trenton, with his loving family by his side. Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong Trenton/Hamilton area resident. He proudly served in the United States Army. Michael retired from the State of New Jersey Department of Human Services after thirty five years of service. He was a former member of Villa Park Soldiers and Sailors Club; he enjoyed trips to Atlantic City, horse racing and was an avid Phillies and Redskins fan, but most of all Michael cherished the times he spent watching his grandchildren play sports. Predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Mary (Carbonara) Sanverdine, his loving wife of 39 years, Marlene (Fiore) Sanverdine, he is survived by his devoted children, Michael A. Sanverdine and wife Laura and ; Michelle Plumeri and husband Michael; one sister, Josephine Kambis; his cherished grandchildren, Nicholas and Anna Sanverdine, and Matthew and Marissa Plumeri; a nephew, Richard Cucinotta; a niece, Linda Longo and husband Arthur. Also surviving are several great nieces, nephews and cousins. The Funeral will be held 10:15 am Tuesday, May 19, from D'Errico Whitehorse Mercerville Chapel, 2365 Whitehorse Mercerville Road, Hamilton, NJ 08619, located in the Brenna Cellini Facility. 609-587-9050. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated 11:00 am Tuesday, May 19, at St. Raphael's Roman Catholic Church, 3500 South Broad Street, Hamilton, NJ 08610. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, 400 Woolsey Street, Hamilton, NJ 08610. Relatives and friends may call Tuesday from 8:30 am to 10:15 am at the funeral home.
