Dear Roberts Family,
Even though a year has gone by since Daniel's unfortunate passing, you can be assured his family of friends and acquaintences think about him often. Daniel was a blessing to all who were lucky enough to know him. He is truly missed.

People come and go throughout our lives but rarely are we privileged to meet a truly incredible human being and that is what Daniel Roberts is and will always be. Dan would always arrive early to work and we would often talk about world politics, Canadian fishing trips, our Ford trucks, how screwed up the Division of Fish and Wildlife was, current events and topics as strange as him defending my daughter's tattoos. Dan was always ready to lend a hand at any time for anything, even when it didn't benefit him at all. It is a tragedy that a man so incredibly nice and full of life has his cut so short. May you rest in peace my friend knowing that the world is a better place because of your time with us all.

When I was sick in college, he drove me to the doctor, took me to get medicine and made sure I was ok. He had wings then, because he was an angel, and I knew those wings were there even though I couldn't see them. Now he is the sunrise he loved so much, the blue of the evening sky, the breeze that salutes the end of the day. He is the dance of color across the northern sky, the sound the world makes when people are silent. That moment when you are still and feel connected to the Earth; that heartbeat is the beat of his angel's wing, not so imagined now, but as real and as painfully beautiful as God created him.

Many years of working together at the Northern Region Office with Dan. Countless NRO "family lunches", the stories, humor, talk of work, families, trips, dreams will always be remembered. Sometimes we assume that the people around us will just always be there. Dan will always have a seat at our table. Rest in Peace Dan.

Dear Roberts family, We are truly saddened by the all too early passing of Dan. I knew Dan from his dedicated work with the Mercer County Federation of Sportsmen Clubs where he attended meetings on his own time and always provided valuable program information. We recognized Dan as a great person who's work and friendship will be truly missed. We will all miss Dan and may he rest in peace. Bill Weisgarber, Sr.
